MConnected Unveils Neuromorphic Thermal Monitoring Breakthrough for Oil & Gas Predictive Maintenance
MConnected Ltd, in collaboration with two UK, Academic Centres of Excellence, have announced a major advancement in predictive maintenance technology with the development of a neuromorphic, AI-driven thermal monitoring system designed to transform asset reliability in the Oil & Gas sector.
This next-generation solution combines infrared (IR) sensing with neuromorphic AI to deliver real-time detection of thermal anomalies across critical infrastructure — enabling operators to identify faults before they escalate into costly failures or safety incidents.
MConnected’s Carbon Programme Supports Forestry England in the Monitoring of Peatland.
As part of the MConnected programme the business is leading several projects to develop satellite based IoT technologies to monitor peatlands and work with key stakeholders to understand, monitor carbon and GHG changes in these exceptionally important locations and to act when needed.
The projects will collect data from a number, of water level, temperature and dissolved oxygen, carbon dioxide and methane sensors situated within the peatland. Ultrasonic water depth sensors on the outflow tributaries will gauge run-off from the location.
MConnected and Inmarsat join forces with the European Space Agency (ESA)
The main objective of the demonstrator in Kielder is to prove that that low power technologies can produce meaningful data to predict changes due to environmental factors in remote critical infrastructures. The technology has been proven to monitor critical infrastructure and geohazard events with the ability to provide predictive analytics-as-a-service. The data can then be viewed using the developed online dashboard via mobile phone, PDA and desktop. Alerts can be determined and sent to key stakeholders for appropriate actionable counter measures.
MConnected support the Royal Navy
MConnected propose to adopt new technologies to replace the existing pegboard to prototype new wearable, intrinsically safe smart cards, based on new chip sets. The wearable’s will be both readable via NFC & RFID technologies and will also be visually very informative. The chip set will allow significant amounts of information to be stored such as access right, zones of accessibility and time allotted. The reader(s) will allow high volume reading, data will be conveyed to a "tuff laptop”. Full schematic of the vessel will visually show where operative should be working, including muster zones.

Globally renowned as the fastest and most exhilarating motorsport on the planet, the Red Bull Air Race World Championship is a visual spectacle unlike any other – a combination of high speed, low altitude and extreme maneuverability make it a sport in which only the world’s most exceptional pilots can compete. DHL returns as the Official Logistics Partner of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship and will be managing the transportation of the lightweight racing planes, spare parts, fuel and other racing equipment as well as the television and broadcasting equipment around the world for this global race series.
Man Overboard - French Riviera
It happened recently near Cannes, just a mile or so to seaward, and the general public knew nothing about it. A superyacht was involved in three MOB incidents, a fire broke out on board, SNSM lifeboats were scrambled to assist, and a burns victim was airlifted to shore by a naval helicopter. A shocking cover-up by the yachting industry? Local news media deliberately excluded?
